The Ocular Heritage Society 36th Annual Meeting

April  24- 27, 2019 , Toledo, Ohio See for more information

The 36th Club AGM and festivities will be held on

Sunday 19th May 2019

and is open to all so please bring along family, friends and colleagues

Once again it is being held at the

College of Optometrists, 42 Craven Street, London WC2N 5NG

which houses the world's oldest (and arguably the best) Optical Museum and will be open to view throughout the day

This is your Club and your chance to have a say in how it is run - Your comments and suggestions are welcomed.

  • 12.00 Welcome address by Museum Curator, and AGM
  • 13.00 Lunch
  • 14.00 Presentations
  • 14.30 Auction

The Buffet Lunch includes dessert, wine or fruit juice and coffee suitable for vegetarians and non-vegetarians

Where else in London can you enjoy such a sumptuous luncheon with fantastic company all for the amazingly low cost of £10.00?

Auction items may be examined between 11.30 – 12.00 and 1.00 – 2.00

**There are no buyers' or sellers' fees for Club Members**


Overseas members may pay on the day but lunches must be booked in advance



This is another excellent opportunity to gain weekend access to the displays and to pick up a bargain at the now famous OAICC auction.


If you wish to enter items for the Club Auction that follows the AGM:

You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or post to OAICC, 27 Orchard Avenue, Worthing, West Sussex. BN14 7PY., OR send a descriptive list of items with photos where possible.


We will then allocate lot numbers and send the relevant section of the catalogue for you to review and label each items securely with its lot number. Please bring the items with you on the day or post to the address above.


If you require a reserve price for any item, please indicate clearly the minimum acceptable amount - Reserve prices will not be included in the printed catalogue and will be seen solely by the auctioneers.


All submissions must be made before the end of April for inclusion in the auction catalogue. Items brought in on the day will be auctioned after the catalogue items if time allows.

LONDON OPEN HOUSE  22 September 2019



The meetings of the OHS and OAICC will take place consecutively in Central London between Thursday 23 April and Sunday 26 April 2020, with members of each organisation invited to join the other (particularly on the Saturday and Sunday). The programme will include museum visits, industrial visits, a day of historical talks, a drinks reception, the annual general meetings of both societies, an antiques auction and a banquet. Attendance is open to members of either the OAICC or OHS and early expressions of interest would help the planning.
